Iphone
Released to an eager American public in June 2007, Apple Inc’s latest invention the iPhone is being pegged as the revolution of mobile technology. Given the task of connecting people all over the world with style, the iPhone is both a camera phone and an iPod. Over 1 million iPhones have already been sold, despite currently being available solely in the United States. The rest of the world however, must wait until late 2007, early 2008 to experience the phone, with England being named as the next country in line.
The iPhone is 115×61×11.6 mm big and weighs a mere 135g. It comes in two memory sizes: a 4 GB and an 8 GB, retailing for US$499 and US$599 respectively.
Like most new mobile phones, almost all multimedia and phone operations on the iPhone are done via a touch screen complete with a virtual keyboard and scratch proof glass perfect for users with long fingernails.
The iPod built into the iPhone is easily the devices most unique accessory and differs from the traditional iPod. The music library is divided more clearly alphabetically and with a larger font. The iPhone also plays video and allows users to watch TV shows and films, whilst its headphones double as a microphone.
Despite its miniature stature the iPhone is packed with functions, including text messaging, visual voicemail, internet services, Bluetooth and a stunning 2 megapixel camera. It also includes software which allows users to upload, view and e-mail phones.
Apple’s iPhone is definitely a very stylish mobile phone and perfect for the 21st century. With an iPod, phone and internet rolled into one, iPhone is the hassle free way to have everything at your finger tips.
